Phil,
Nice job considering that the pilot wouldn't hold it still for you!

Can that helicopter possibly be as fast as it looks or did you speed up the video?

Nice filming Phil. Can I give you a tip, take the camera OFF of auto exposure, snow makes the camera stop down, because of all the reflected light. You will need to point the camera at the brightest part of the scene & note what reading it is saying, then go on manual exposure & OVER EXPOSE by 1 to 1.5 stops, that way the snow will be really white & not gray, but also the heli will stand out better as it will be exposed correctly. Try it the next time your out with a video cam, meter off of the sky (in other words point the camera at the sky) take note of the F reading & speed reading. As an exxample, let's say the camera was saying 1/250 speed & F11, you could drop the speed to 1/100 or lower, the lower the speed the better prop blur & brighter the scene. hope that helps.

Regards
Ross

Seems to me that ALL heli's beat the air into submission

thanks man, the thing is my camera's pretty old so it doesn't have all those readings, What I should've done was adjust the exposure manually and then just film it like that
