| damageyes,i found that the pin that holds the tail drive pinion gear fell out , i slipped another back in with no problem, meaning the set screw(even though locktite was applied) was loos enough to let it slip out, i checked everything, gyro linkage, tail shaft, tail servo ect, and it was the only thing i could find. when it started to spin i gave full right rudder with no response.i only wish vdo was better so i could tell if tail rotor stopped..but it only done about 175.00 in damage and that was mostly the main blades. what tells me the tail was not spinning when it went in is that besides a bent tail shaft nothing on the tail broke. not even the blades . and it hit hard because tail was caked with dirt... the only thing that broke on the fuse was the tail section which i orderd a new one and the missle pods that i will be taking off and painting the whole thing black i think...i just put the new blades on 15 min b4 the flite...bummer...but hopfully i will have it back up soon..thnx |
