Plymouth Heli club today attended Liskeard model engineering show, which is one of the largest local events. Many visitors attended the show and was one of most attended to date.

The simulator turned out to be of particular interest to many (Kids and Adults alike).

Plymouth Helis also won the award for best Aircraft Exhibit.

A special thanks goes to the whole of the Liskeard Model Show organisation for there work and allowing us to be there.

Our first foray into the Liskeard model show but judging by our reception and the very positive feedback that we received not only from the organisers but the exhibitors and spectators alike, not the last time we will attend. We were in some very illustrious company, and spent a good deal of the time promoting the sport.

The Liskeard Model Society organise this event every year, and do a sterling job. Well done to them and our thanks for a really satisfactory day.
To all the members who attended, well done and thanks for giving up your day and putting in so much hard work, the displays, signage and documentation was excellent as was commented on by so many people.

The icing on the cake was to win the "Best Aircarft Exhibit 2008" at our first attempt

Keeping cups has nothing to do with it. I will bring a "winners" medal next time and you can race for that.
