Any help would be appreciated. I'm not familiar with the MA line and from checking the website it looks like an Fury tempest Extreme. the frame seems to match but the head doesn't. This heli is destined for Ebay. It's a heli a local shop owner bought used but he wants to sell it. Any info (or offers lol) would be appreciated!

Tempest w/FAI head. Depending on the position of the tailrotor (thst's what differentiates the Tempest 3D from the Tempest FAI models)

Tempest FAI. Only the FAI comes stock with all the aluminum bits like the washout arms and bellcranks. Post a pic of the tail and I am sure it has the FAI tail slider too.

Thanks for the info! I also realized I posted this in the electric forum sorry about that! My boss kept saying "tempest five" at least to my ears. but maybe it was supposed to be "tempest fai" (He's Asian so kinda sounds the same lol)

I'll get a pic of the tail on Monday. Assuming its a tempest FAI... how much would one be worth approximately with everything but receiver and good servos? (although we have a PCM receiver we could include) YS engine in there and we got a 601 to put in there. He was saying he things he could get $2300 for it, but from checking the classifieds I think its worth a great deal less. Whatever opinions you guys got are greatly appreciated.

no way he's going to get $2300 for it. Maybe $1500 at the most. Used model helicopters don't hold their value much

Don't need a pic of the tail.....just look at the pushrod for the tail output.
The rod/servo is on the right so, so the model is for sure an FAI.

Tempest Value..

getting even 1500$ is a stretch...

these have very little value these days..I would guess 1300-1500$ MAX is what he could expect to get for it...

Also, just on a saide note the lower mixing arms need to be flipped. As far as I know FAI head is still leading mixing arm.

From experience, you'll be lucky to get $500 bucks for it.

Been there done that!

thanks for the info. We might just end up parting it out who knows. too bad it looks like a nice machine. Maybe we will keep it and fly the sucker till we crash it! I like that plan I've always wanted a 90.
