Thank you both for the posts. in about two months, I will be out of the sand box and at home starting my own V-bar Stratus build. I have been planning this for about six months now and I am excited to see that all my ideas are sound. Please post video ASAP. Thanks again!!

I already have all the parts for the Stratus grips like Scrubs set-up. But I am considering the QUK grips for my Ion-X2. Who knows...

More like 16mm I think, I have to use spacers on them with 14mm blades.

Scrub,

Since the grips come off with out too much hassle, could you post a pic adn part numbers for your stack up to get the balls centered? Thanks.

The part numbers can be found here:

I used 1 thick shim MA 0848-3 and 1 thin shim MA 0329 (I think that's the part number) between the C clip and the blade grip to bring it out 2mm. Then I used a 5x8x2mm shim on the blade bolt to make up for the shift of the grip.
Sorry I can't take a pick of the assembly. I don't want to take it apart. I just finshed setting up everything and I don't want to mess with it until I've had a chance to fly it.

Mr.Mel

What is the distance from the center of the head button to the pivot point of the ball on the grip arm? Did you need to shorten the servo throw?

Mr. Mel - Revlock 30

The revlock 30 can be used as govenor, and picht mangement, on a non eCCPM heli. (Pitch servo goes through the revlcok 30)

Do you know if the Rev30/pitch mangement it can be used togehter with the Vbar?

With the QuickUK grips I didnt have to shorten the throw, its a drop in operation.
Dont have the exact measurement here though.

VBar is a selfcontained system, so as of today I dont think there is a way to use the revlock, but perhaps something for Ulrich to look at, post a question over at vstabi.de board, since the vbar is upgradable via firmware its perhaps possible...

Edit: what happens if you connect the revlock between receiver and vbar.. could work...

sidenote, i put on CY 710 stickbangers on my nitro bird, and its now completly unboggable, so pitch management isnt really needed (can do full pitch tictocs... no bogging, its just go skywards)

I am home from the desert now and will begin my Ion-X2 flybarless conversion this week. I can't wait! If there is any immediate advice you have, please let me know so I can get it right the first time around.
