Anyone flown these rx's back to back in the same heli? If so, is there a noticable difference in the response of the helicopter?

I have flown the G3 and the new 2.4Ghz in the same helicopter and there seems to me to be no difference. They are both great systems and unless you are one of the fastest, quickest 3D pilots in the world, you won't notice a thing... even then I'm not sure you will!

Personally, I don't even have an issue with the balance of the radio either. Very impressed with the Futaba FASST system.

As you see in the numbers here, http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t172571p1/, there is very little difference between the 6014 and the 617 when used with the TM-14 module.

Thanks for the info guys. That was what I was hoping to hear, especially from Charlie R. It's making the decision to keep my 12z easier.

I've looked at your info and certain parts of that thread many times in the last few weeks. What had me concerned was people seemed to be disappointed with the latency results of the TM-14/6014 but were pleased with the actual in-flight performance. Seems everyone agrees that it "feels" the same as the G3 rx's. I was worried that using the 617 and not having the 2048 resolution (I know resoluton and latency are two different things) that the "feel" would be more like what you get from the 12/14 with PCM 1024.
