| lhsthis is an issue that can be debated for years; probably has been.
if we don't support the lhs, it will become extinct. however, most hobby shops don't stock helicopter parts. therefore, you have to order the part, wait and hope it shows up. the price will almost always be higher than the straight mail order.
i still us the lhs if possible. sometimes i allow them to order a part; sometimes i go online.
if you are a good customer of the one man lhs, the owner is going to work with you. not only do you have a place to "hang out" but you get what you need at reasonable prices.
think about the "stuff" that you need that would be too expensive to mail order. foam; servo screws; servo arms; ball links, batteries, receivers, crystals, etc.
how many times have you spent $100 when you needed less than $10 worth of stuff but you wanted to make sure you got your monies worth after paying the shipping charge?
if we don't support the lhs, they will cease to exist. that does not mean we pay double for the product. however, i will pay a little extra for most items to make sure that the lhs survive.
another $ .02 worth what was charged!
