I am in the process of taking the battery tray from my broken Airhogs SL and using the 2 Cell 740Mah 15C lipos on my Hummer V3. Battery weight is 50 grams but might help create a higher head speed and in theory more stable. Just an expiriment. Hope it works cause I got a crap load of batts and chargers. They were on sale for 10 bucks each at christmas.

Hey,

I'm using 2s 810mah LiPo's in my Humme and it goes great.
While the head speed isn't as initially high as the previous 9.6volt NiMh's I was using, a constant rotor speed is held for longer & duration is up. The latter being for 2 reasons,
1. the LiPo's can hold a constant voltage longer and
2. as they are lighter you dont need so much power to carry them.

But the last statement also provides a slight problem for the Hummer as well, as the LiPo is lighter the model becomes very tail heavy.

What I have done is perform the classic old trick of shortening the main blades 10~15mm and shortening the boom as well as much as I dare before the tail rotor could hit the main blades.
This has made a vast improvement I feel in the models feel in the air with the lighter batterys & also it's flying performance as well.

Let us know what you find flying yours.
