What is the differences between the Nexus 30S and the Nexus 30D kit?

Thanks, Hayden.

Nexus 30ss & Deluxe?

As far as I know the Deluxe has a flapping head and the standard has a solid head. There may be some other features but I can't think of them at the moment.

It would also have more bearings instead of bush's wouldn't it? so the Deluxe would be the better of the two, if you can find it as most place's only seem to have the SS.

Nexus D?

The Nexus has been out quite a while, I'm sure it was before the "pissing" contest of who's heli had more bearings. Flapping head better?
I don't think it is better for low time pilots. The flapping head allows the main blades to flex down as well as up-great stable hover, but, very easy to have a boom strike on anything more than a soft landing. So if you are a newer pilot go for the SS. solid head, unless you are past the hard landing stage.

Yes I'm past the hard landing stage and I know that they’re more likely to have a boom strike. But besides that does it actually fly any better?

Nexus s vs d

I own 2 of the S versions.. and if you go through TowerHobbies, it costs well over $290 for all the parts to convert the S to a deluxe version.. Don't know about you, but I'd rather put that money into a Raptor 30 49bb kit..

I'm just learning heli's right now, and I have 2 nexus 30 s's, and a Concept 46 vr.. which is sitting till I can master the nexus.

Just food for thought.. I'd learn on the 30 standard, and get something better for more advanced stuff.

If it were me I would forgoe the Nexus all together and either get a Raptor, Hawk or perhaps a Scedue. I am not trying to bag on the Nexus. But I think IMHO that there are better 30 helis out there for a reasonable price. I am not trying to start a fire in here. But that is just my oppinion. Not that it is worth much. MAYBE 2 cents.

I agree Brian.. not getting fire from this dude.. I only picked them up becuase of a good deal.. plus I'm a rookie. Should have done my homework and get a Raptor or Scedue.. They both look great to me, and Hirobo has been around the business ever since I can remember.

Go fly the Nexus and just use it as a learning tool. I have had one for over one year now and it still flies well. It is a good learning machine. It is easy to fix and can even do flips and inverted flight. Maybe the Rappy is better, maybe not. If you are like most people in this hobby you will own several machines over the next few years. You can do a lot worse than have the Nexus be one of them.

nexus

I would have to agree that the nexus is a nice helicopter. It might not be as modern as the raptor or anyother helicopter made today, but it does fly well, and is easy to learn on. I have a deluxe that I am learning to fly on (I have the flaping head but have changed it to the standard head so it is harder to damage, and easier to set up). I was hovering on my own on the first tank, so it must be a decent machine.
