I think that this will be an awsome motor for the EX.The
Scorpion HK-3026-1210.
Has anyone looked at this motor?
It has some good numbers ,weight being one of them...
It looks to be twice as strong as the 36-50-1000 Medusa, same size or smaller , and 40grams lighter...

theres a guy over on the other forum installing that into a TR500, It comes with an ESC with a wireless remote control to program it, it looks cool but Ive also read that it eats twice the amps of normal motors which sounds nuts...

mmhh i was wondering about them Scorpion parts as well ...

but ..wireless frills and spills all nice but i rather have a good working gov on a ESC ..
As for the motor ...Noone just starts making good motors it takes time resources and knowledge so i am always a bit carefull about new claims of manufacturers

Good point contact303 , but everybody that is using the Scorpion motors are saying that they are the BOMB!!
Maybe I will set back and wait and see...

Now that really would be good ...some alternative ESC and cheaper ....Now Lets hope they are as good then

....they are new so I will sit on the fence a while watching :O)

Okay , I just bought one of these motors from a fellow RR and I just cant wait to try this motor..
It only weighs 193grms and has 1365 Watts , that is more than twice the wattage as the Medusa 36-50-1000 I am using now ,and the Medusa weighs 230 grms.. I realy think this motor is gonna be the bomb!!!

14 tooth pinion with 2 2150 3 cell 25c it looks like around 2600 headspeed but not quite sure with 75 whatt align speedcontrol

With a 14t pinion you will be at 2695, the Scorpions have an 86% efficiency rating, 15t will put you at 2888, WOW!!!

Still waiting for it to arrive . It should be in the mail on its way to my house as we speak..
I will keep you posted twin..
It does look promissing tho... It ought to be more powerful than the Z20-1500/1470kv and the 36-50-1000 madusa..

Okay , I got it installed and got in a couple of flights ;
It is a little stronger than the Medusa 36-50-1000kv motor.
I still need to do some tweeking on the ESC settings to get it to its fullest power , but it is very powerful, and ,it only weighs 193 grms , the 36-50-1000kv weighs 230 grms , so the HK-3026-1210 is 37 grms lighter ,a big difference on the EP8.



Man , i just love my new digital camera...
