Looks like I'm gonna have to get one too. Too bad the fan shroud isn't clear, it's a shame to hide such a nice looking fan.

How's the rate of flow compared to the stock plastic fan?

The rate of flow is Shinier.

It's a different design, those kind of fans tend to flow more, while putting a slightly higher load on the engine.

I just got my metal fan and one of the details that RJX has put into this fan that I havn't found on the others I seen and used is the magnet holes have been drill thru with a smaller hole so you can push the magnet out if you need to replace them.

Nice touch

BTW, this is a piece of art work, I'm almost afraid to hide in under the fan shroud, from the looks it should produce plenty of airflow.

Hopefully I will have my aluminum fan tomorrow (Sat). Can't wait to get it installed. I think the added cooling will help while I finsh breaking in my rebuilt YS 50.

Ahhhh Gary you don't need the fan You don't hard enough to overheat the engine Plus you can't see the shiny fan with the fan shroud covering it

Must have more POWER!

A clear fan shroud is a great idea. RJX could be the first to it. Come on Rusty, we know you can work magic

I received my RJX aluminum fan today. This is one nice looking fan. I like the fact that there are small holes drilled all the way through the magnet holes to allow air to escape when you press the magnets in. I always use rare earth magnets from Radio Shack. They are a little bigger than standard gov. magnets, but they have a much stronger magnetic field. The sensor can "pick up" the magnet almost 10mm away. Due to the larger size, I had to drill out the fan slightly (something I do to all my fans when using these magnets). Using some 30 min. epoxy, I set the magnets in the fan (with one of them flipped 180 to have opposite polarity). Just to check, I threw the assembled fan/hub on both of my balancers and it is perfectly balanced. The fan stopped at a different spot every time. This fan looks like it will push more air over the engine, which will definitely help during our hot and humid summers down here.

This fan is so purty that I almost hate to cover it up in the shroud. A clear fan shroud would be nice, but then we would have to constantly clean it.
