Looks like it's in good condition, too. Ran it late last fall but didn't get it in the air due to weather conditions.
I just wouldn't know what he should expect to ask for something like this.

$600 way too much. RC stuff doesn't hold it's value too well. You didn't say WHICH six channel radio, it's hard to estimate a decent price. If the radio is the same vintage as the heli, it doesn't add much to the overall value. If it has a gyro, which kind, which one?

The heli's probably worth more as a parts machine for someone who already owns a Concept 30.

Which Concept 30 is it? DX, SR-T, SR-X....also makes a difference.

What motor? 32SX-H, the older OS 32F, perhaps an OS 28 or even a Supertiger G34H which was one of the few small heli engines for its day.

More info, can give you a better estimate.

I just sold a low time, nice concept 30 DX with os 32 on ebay. The bid ended right at $150. thats just for heli and motor. Just tryin to give you an idea but if you have one of those old radios and mechanical gyro and servos add maybe another 150. Id say you could get about $300. depends on your electronics.

Your best bet for things like this is to search on ebay for it, then on the left hand side, click the box to show you completed items. That'll give you a really good feel for what it's worth because you can see every one that's sold in the past few weeks or so.

As Eury said, check eBay for completed auctions to give you an idea of price. For sure, the Concepts are starting to go up in value. I am having to pay 15-20% more for helis and 33-50% or more extra for parts than I did three years ago. There's an upsurge in the demand for these little copters either from the collector perspective or more likely, the number of people that have come into the hobby via a cheap RTF heli (even something as crude as a Piccoo-Z) that are looking for a cheap path to a real heli.

I will give you two scenarios to try and estimate based on my own humble opinion :

1: Early DX/SE, Non-OS motor, Hitec radio, Low-end piezo or mech gyro, Not flown for years : $125-175

2: Later SX, OS Motor, Futaba/JR/Airtonics, Good Piezo gyro, flown regularly: $275-325.

If you have a late SR-X, you are sitting on good money. Those puppies are quite sought after...!

Again, these are estimates based on what I have paid and also seen helis going for. Essentially, your heli is worth what someone will pay for it on one given day. Good luck with the sale...!
