I am looking for information about the different Joker models. I would like to know for example what the V1 and V2 are, the difference between a "maxi" and non "maxi", "CX", etc. Also and real comparisons between the versions would be helpful. I am looking for facts, no opinions.
Thanks!
-Ryan

BTW- this would be for AP use, so any pertinent information would be appreciated.

joker

hello,

the diffrence between the v1 and v2 is that the v2 has a new frame and diffrent tail in cnc. The head is the same (i think).
Its also easier to choose a motor for the v2, the v1 can only handle the old actro motors.
If you have intentions on ap use, the joker2 (or v1) should suite your needs flying with 720 blades or similar. IF you only will use this bird for ap go for the maxi which can handle 800blades and can carry more loads. I have a maxi and im satifeid with it. Flies on rails and are more like a industrial robot in its design than a model helicopter. I think it can last a lifetime...
IM using the broadcast360 camerastand with great sucess.

Best wishes

the joker 2 uses a belt drive on the motor, and the 1 is geared. a maxi is just a regular joker, with a longer tail belt/boom.

Rhett... There's no power like E Power!

V1 Joker
Geared first stage, belt driven
20mm tail boom
Servos directly below swashplate, direct connection
Changing a pinion means you also change two motor mounts as well. You must almost take the heli apart for this.
Plastic tail rotor blade grips and pitch change actuator
Frame mounted tail rotor servo
Gyro mounted on inside of frames
Plastic landing gear
V1Maxi
Same as above, but had cranked up tail in back
25mm tail boom
V2 Joker
Belt driven from motor to main gear
Pinion below.
Push Pull on all head movements
25mm tail boom
Tail boom mounted servo and gyro
Metal tail rotor grips and pitch change actuator
Dual slider bolts in head for flybar
Pinion change or motor change takes 5 minutes, no machine disassembly needed.
Larger battery area in frames
Aluminum landing gear
V2 Maxi
Same as above, but longer boom and blades.

Ryan,

While the Joker series are great choices for AP work, and can lift with the best of them, but are you set on electic? Have you considered a Gas heli? How much weight do you plan on lifting?
