RJX Hobby Hurrican 50 - Xtreme 50 > DANG, NICE LOOKING HELI

I got bored and started surfing some other forums, happened on this one. These Extreme 50's are a nice looking heli! I got a 600N that is heavily upgraded for performace and was thinking about buying a 2nd one to replace an Evo 50 I've outgrown.

Now, I'm going have to rethink that.

How's the belt drive working out for you guys? Are the tail grips worth the upgrade? Any weak spots out-of-the-box that I need to be aware of? What it come with for a canopy?

The Xtreme 50 is, without a doubt, one of the best 50's on the market. I just finished the build on mine and will be flying it for the 1st time this weekend. I can tell you that the belt looks similar to the R50 belt. I have never had a problem with the belt on my old R50's. While the tail grips do not use thrust bearings, I flew my R50's for w/o thrust bearing for a long time. I do not see any problems with this design either.

The quality and machine work on the Xtreme 50 is much better than other helis in it's class (600N, Knight 3D, etc.). The head is fully adjustable. It features a great 1-piece aluminum open tail box. There is a removable cross member at the back of the tail box to facilitate removing the tail belt. At the moment there are only 2 upgrades for the Xtreme 50 (aluminum T-arms and aluminum tail grips), neither of which are needed.

If you are in the market for a high quality 50, then I would highly suggest that you take a serious look at the Xtreme 50. You will not be disappointed. Check my gallery for some pics.
