I'm sure that this has been re-hashed a thousand times on this site but here goes. I'm thinking about getting the Sceadu 50 but I was wondering how this upgrade thing is working. If I buy a kit now in the US, does it come with the DTDS and bearing block upgrades??? Or, do I get a coupon? What about if I buy the kit from Cyberheli, what do I get, if anything. Also, do you still get blades with the kit??

Having said all this, where is the best place to buy a kit/engine combo???

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

Sceadu's

The upgrades are for US bought kits only from US based Hobby shops. Dependign on where you buy the kit from it can come realistically two ways right now today, with blades or with upgrade certificate and no blades. IF you get a kit with blades, the upgrades are 39.00 + 7.00 shipping and handling. If you get a kit with an authenticated cert. you get them for free, but that kit has no blades.

Does that answer your question? Kits with the upgrades in them will make their way into the shops soon. Any of the kits include all parts to complete the model to fly. The upgrades are not needed to complete the model.

Hope that helps

Can you pick what kit you want or do they basically send you what kits they have?

hmmm

Depends on dealer inventory and is up to the dealer. We can drop ship anything if it is a problem. Where are you looking?

I was looking at absolutehelis.com and heliproz. Cyberheli has competative prices but by the time you pay shipping and buy the upgrades, the prices are about the same as in the states. Any other suggestions?

Cyberheli is in Hong Kong and would not qualify for the DTDS and 3rd bearing block deal so you might want to add another $100 to the price of the heli if you order it from them. Stephen (the owner of CyberHeli) is a nice guy with great service, but with the deals we're having on the Sceadu 50 in the US it's just not worth it.

Your best bet is to call up HeliProz or Rick's (www.ronlund.com) and ask them what kits they have in stock. Chances are they are the ones with no blades and with a voucher for the DTDS and 3rd bearing from Altech free of charge.

I talked to Heliproz

I got an e-mail from Heliproz and they have the kits w/o the blades and the free upgrades. I haven't gotten an e-mail back from Ron at Ricks yet. Heliproz has it with the OS 50 included for $599. Sounds like a winner to me. It would be nice if they would make a good deal on a combo with some V-Blades!!! (hint-hint)
