Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Step-By-Step to Flybarless?

Has anyone written a step-by-step to flybarless conversion FAQ? I've been reading quite a bit, but am abit amiss on how it all works.

I've been thinking of trying to convert two helis:

1. R90
2. Mini Titan

What I don't want to do is spend a fortune on the Mikado V-stab, or a collection of CSM 720s since I've seen people working with gyros from the 240-401.

Though I've been wondering, pertaining to the gyros, how the Hitec HG5000 that I'm using on the tail of the Mini Titan would work out. It's tiny and holds really well and is more versatile then both the 240 and 401.

So, what I'm looking to learn is:

1. What physical changes need to be made to the heli?

2. What gyros if any need to be used and where they plug in, their function and what the adjustments do to affect flight?

am i missing anything else?

Gyros go between the respective servos and the rx. Any decent gyro should work fine. You wouldn't want one prone to drifting.

The most important note about flybarless is to strap it down for test #1. Use training gear for test #2. Use cheap blades until it works.

All it is is connecting the swashplate directly to the blade grips & feeding cyclic through rate gyros. People downgear the servo movements & make up ways to keep the swashplate in phase. A purpose built virtual flybar with all the gyros in one place probably does better than sticking tail gyros everywhere.
