| This AGAIN proves that ANY machine can have problems, be it MA, Align, TT, JR, whatever! These toys are designed, machined and manufactured by HUMANS. As such, there is only striving for perfection. Achieving it is nigh on impossible and is it even desirable? What is perfect for one pilot is not for another.
Personally, my 2 600N's have performed flawlessly and I made my upgrades by choice, not necessity. Even my 2 original swashes (old design) have no play and no binding. Did I get lucky? Maybe. BUT, for the $$ (and otherwise), Align have some pretty exciting birds.
I am NO brand loyalist. I buy what I can afford and like to fly. If a bird does not fly well, I will sell it, for a loss if required. I have enough discretionary income to allow this. Am I rich - NO. Can I afford to fly what I want - yes, within reason. Modern 50's are AMAZING. So much so that my 90's don't see enough air time to justify their existence in my fleet.
I am sure that the Xtreme is incredible. It should be for the $$. It's good to see that this heli has flaws - just like all the rest! Can't wait to see it in the flesh in Wellington this weekend.
Happy flying all...
