| I think the Hornets faded out because of two reasons. One is the very expensive parts, and the second is that they are hard to setup properly - especially the tail. I ended up going with the µHeli tail, because I couldn't get the stock tail right myself. Also, since you have to glue or tape the swash servos down with no guides as to where they go, it's a bear to get them just right so you don't have cyclic-pitch interactions.
I still fly my Hornet 2 sometimes, but it's kinda scary considering the cost of a crash. It does fly well though. |
That being said I just got sent a X-3D kit by a RR member and I am going to give it a go. It seems sturdier than the Eflite CP's(i'm not bad-mouthing Eflite
) I don't feel as though I need any help in peticular with this heli but I'll post some videos when its done.
Maybe building this kit is not even worth the trouble but theres only one way to find out.
