Shuttle - the context of waking up was due to international time differences - often when I post people in your part of the world are asleep

I have better things to do than go around bashing based on second hand info. Unlike most in this forum, I have built a QWW20cc gasser and have first hand experience of the difficulties in construction and multiple failures and I am angry when there is insinuation that its becase I dont know what I am doing. If only Irwin and crew would be receptive to customers - there would be less anger in this forum - and their customer base would be larger and happier.

My Dominator 20cc is flying well now - but it took a lot of work to get it there - instead of Irwin and crew working with me to understand what I have done - they took every opportunity to put me down. So who's smiling - I have a machine I love to fly - and they still dont know what needs to be fixed.

Just for interest - I flew with a 4 bladed head on my 20cc last week - and it was docile as can be. It is intended for a BK117 body and should be a great scale project

i wont go into details but i suffered huge losses on my qwws. but i figures maybe the the other guy would have better luck well i trades 1 rtf q46sport and a q30 airframecarbon for 1 extra330 and a su 29 rtf. and some other odds and ends. so u figure my loss. but thats in the past and now i fly the best listed below. but the most important thing is to have fun, its only $, and figure what goes around will come around.. come on spring, i am ready to put some serious time in on my helis

Help?

I am not here to argue with people's opinion, but Ozghost, I don't get how you can post here and state we didn't help you or offer support. I can post a list if you wish of the free parts we sent you, even when the issue didn't even involve us, this also includes our shipping costs, which aren't cheap to Australia. You don't like our heli, fine. However lets at least stick to the truth when bashing someone. I have stated on this forum several times that if problems or opinions are presented in a civilized matter I myself, as well as everyone else, would be more than happy to listen. I am not sure how much more receptive we can be. Other than coming to Australia to talk to you face to face, we can't be much more receptive. All I ask and have always asked is stick to the facts and be adults, I don't see that these requests go against our being receptive.

Chris

P.S. As for our EP8's going for $150.00, this is because we are clearing them out as we have a new line of EP's. This is called clearing out the old so we have room for the new, a practice that occurs in almost every company. However we do and will continue part and technical support for these and all our helis.

Chris

By all means publish ALL the parts you sent me for free plus ALL the help you offered.

Please also include the story of the side frames you promised to replace which took you two weeks to find that you had not even sent, and then sent me the wrong ones and billed me without my authority. I then had to send them back at my expense and then you only credited me for the parts not the postage.

And don’t forget to tell about the time you sent me two parcels within two days and I had to pay an extra US$25 postage because of your inefficiency.

And also publish the email where you told me that seeing as my heli had been used it was no longer under warranty.

And about the pinion gears I ordered that were different lengths

And you can also add another Irish Joke about the new Australian distributor - the last one closed up shop after a bad experience with your company.

And the time you replaced the fractured tail gearbox with the CNC one and billed me the full price rather than the upgrade price.

And don’t forget all the ones where you tell that I'm the only one who has been having problems - I sort of believe it now because I have yet to hear of anyone else flying the 20cc gasser.

And the list could go on ……

Chris - a good lesson here - don’t reopen the past - all that happens is you open your mouth to change feet. The more you try to defend yourself the more you highlight your deficiencies.

I would also love to know why Irwin lets you add your name to his posts - or else Irwin has passed his email etiquette to you - cause it sure sounds like Irwin when you post – just with less spelling mistakes

Now do you understand why Quick helis have such low resale value?

Reopening the past

I didn't reopen anything, I am simply responding to the accusations you state on this forum. As for the help and parts given to you, we both know the truth and I will leave it at that. As for putting my name to the post, I feel that people should know that I am speaking on what I see, and not on behalf of the company as a whole. Although I work for QWW I am capable of stating my own observations and opinions, whether they are in the best interest of QWW or not. I have stated in the past that mistakes have been made, I just choose to respond when what people say doesn't match the facts observed by myself. As for the Australian distributor, you should check your facts before stating a bad experience. I am aware of the situation, however won't speak on it due to the privacy that is due to all parties involved. Please don't lecture about defending myself or deficiencies. If deficiencies weren't pointed out in life, there would be no motivation for improvements as there would be no reason to do so. I am done with this disputing over parts and help, we both know what the real deal is, however it is not in my place to sling mud at you for the simple reason of proving a point that will never be taken anyway. As for quality or resale value, I really haven't seen examples of this low resale value you speak of, since used items always depreciate to begin with.

Did someone just packpedal?

Nope

I am not backpedaling, I am just trying to take the suggestions that others gave on this forum, which was one of the main issues that many have stated we have a problem doing. It is obvious Ozghost and myself see things differently, and we are most likely not going to ever see eye to eye. So why keep arguing? He is enjoying flying his heli, which is what this hobby is all about, isn't it?

No argument there.

I just noticed that you were the one to lead off with "I can post a list if you wish of the free parts we sent you...", but when he called your bluff, you responded with "As for the help and parts given to you, we both know the truth and I will leave it at that." All this inside two posts.

I can only tell you that from my vantage point, any time I hear someone backpedal like that, it's an indication that they were blowing smoke in the first place and didn't expect the other person to actually take them up on the offer.

Which way to go?

I was in the wrong to come at Ozghost in that sort of manner. After thinking about it I choose not to air this arguement on a forum. Many have stated that arguing is not the way to go, and I am attempting to take the honorable route. I am choosing not to fight towards an end that will most likely never come, as proving who is right or wrong will really not accomplish much at this point. I am trying to take the high road, if that appears as backpedaling than that is your opinion. However, if you read other posts here you will see that people are tired of the fighting and bickering. I think that maybe this forum should get back to what is was originally intended for, to discuss the hobby and exchange knowledge and info.

I think this tread has had its day. we should move on. Personally i dont care who was right or wrong.
QWW may have some faults with PR or whatever. I think they make some nice helis. You can chose to deal with them or not thats your choice. And id have to say the fourms are for voicing your opinion good or bad, but say what you have to say and leave it at that. Dont keep coming back and beating a dead horse.

Personally I dont really care what you get for it. For one you live in PR, and most from the US arnt going to buy from you, so really your market is limited. Hell if i gave you full price, it wouldnt prove anything.

WTF? The guy bought something, he's had issues and wants to get rid of it. He's finding out that it's not worth anything, shouldn't he be disappointed? If you don't care, then don't post. It's HIS topic. Not yours.

Also, PR is as much a part of the US as PA is.
