I have the new style guides but they don;t fit onto the boom. The inside diameter of the guides is too small
Anyone else having this problem???

They do fit - I just put mine on today. Use a little oil if needed, but they do - barely - fit on there. The fit is tight so they don't move around, but it will fit.

New Style Guides

Yes they do fit and the trick that I found is to start them on the end of the tail boom that is notched, then once they are started, just open your vice just enough to clear the diameter of the tail boom and simply push them on to the location that you want. Like Mr Green say's a drop of light oil helps as well.

Or... makes it really easy... Put the plastic tail guides in very hot water for 5 minutes, then they slip on easy.

I really like the new guides, it's very easy to slip them on to the boom with a little heat from a 'covering heat gun'. The best part is that they will stay there without having to glue them. I ran the carbon tail rotor pushrod straight through them without using the heat shrink tubing.

I'm almost finished with the carbon X50. Will have some pics soon, along with some of my building tips.
