e-BEAM Beam E4 > Stock Blade

Hey all! Just got back into the hobby after the few years and I must say that seeing the Beam kit is what got me back!!! I was just hovering around and learning FF when I took a break from it so I want to stock up on a few spare parts for the Beam. I live in Tahiti so having a little stock is needed if I don't want to wait a month for parts after each crash!

Well I could of course find all I needed on the advantage hobby site, but no Main rotor blades!! They don't even list them on the beamheliusa site!!!

Anyone has any idea where I can order the stock blades from? I know other brands work, but I remember reading that the stock blades where designed based on how the head is, so I'd rather stick to those

No crash yet, but I will need blades sooner or later haha

Thanks for any help.

Also quick question on the flybar. During the build I notice a small play in the flybar assembly, it can move from side to side, ie the flybar control arms can move a little where it touches the seesaw hub, they are not flat against it and there is no way to screw them in closer, is that normal??

There are two kinds of blades shipped with BEAM. One was the all white blade with thin diagonal strip showing the carbon. And the other is the SWE rotos with their trademark pink bottom. I did not like the one with the diagonal strip but the FG SWE 325mm flew awesome. Most of the Korean fliers use SWE 325mm blades.

Although it is SWE Rotors 325mm blades, their own site doesn't even list the blade as it was developed exclusively for BEAM.

I use Radix also for now. But the staibility and the punch, I feel SWR is much better. Also durability on crash SWR is better. I crashed 5 times and SWE only damaged. Radix, I crash twice and I changed twice.

I still waiting SWE deliver to me... waiting and waiting.

So you guys find the white/purple blade have more punch than the radix? I tought it was because they are a bit longer but it appeared to me they had less punch...

I'll have to give them another try in a side by side OUTDOOR comparison. It's not easy to compare blade inside with 3-4 other pilot flying in the same half gymnasium as you

Yah, that what I feel on SWE blade. I crash a lot with Beam, fly it low and fast (don't blink your eye). The crash parts are less damage compare to other heli and the frame and skid supper tuff. Also, most important the parts are dirt cheap over here.

For fly bar cage, i have the same problem also. I am not too sure how others fixt it. I add in 1pc of washer between the cage and the arm. Friend of mine, file away some of the matrial on both rods.

One more thing is the swash, remeber to put locktide on swash assembly. They is a screw thred between plates. Mine come loose very fast.

Sern : I've crashed 2 times by now and still using stock blade

Ok, Crash have been in the snow but anyway... they are still pretty tough!

With that good score, you could be in for longer than 10 crash

I agree the best way to fix the flybar is to shim it. Make sure you have no play in the head. This will make it more responsive and not mushy so you won't crash as much!!!lol.....

I order it from Beam, I am not sure how can get it. Currently, I am one of their pilot and I can get from Beam directly.

Frebou, let's count how many time it can last...

I'll try to remember to update this post whit my next crashes if they keep on going

This machine is so nice to fly, I get carried to the limit and tend to fly it like in the simulator... It's a hell of a fun... but it ends up more often needing to press space bar...

I've progressed a lot in my flyng though having such a nice machine that does not cost an arm and a leg to repair is really a good thing. Probably the next best thing after the simulator itself!
