e-Hirobo SRB Quark - Lepton - XRB Coaxial > CF tail blades for lepton?

I was wondering is anyone knows if there is a cf tail rotor blade that will fit a stock lepton. I found these http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXLKC0&P=7
They are the same length. Anyone know if they will fit? I see plenty of CF blades for the stretch kit that are 64mm but I can't find anything to replace the stock 54mm ones.

You don't want that.... Too short.......

For budget, there's 68mm plastic blade rchover is selling. But if you realy want CF. Rdy Heleee have a nice one.......

Don't go shorter than 68mm...... And also you're going to need lift kit from mjp carbon..... That or hurricane 550 landing gear...... Plus longer tail fin......

It's on it's way tomorrow so I'm not sure exactly what it has, but I know it already has the mjp lift kit, and fins. I don't think it has the stretch. Will the 68mm work without the tail stretch? I'll know more tomorrow when it gets here. I know it needs new tail blades, and I really wanted to get CF.

Gentlemen,

I got some unused and boxed Hirobo Lepton Carbon Tail Blades 64mm for sale on eBay. My eBay name is "niederfrequenzfunk". I tried to use them on my Quick of Japan EP-8, but the holes are to small for it.

Regards,

FunKey

- EDIT: SOLD IN FEBRUARY 2008 -

I finally have the heli, and have had a chance to go over it. It does not have the mjp lift kit, so I ordered gaui 550 skids for it. It does already have the mjp fins, and base plate which is a plus. It has a stock tailboom so It's not stetched. I have 425mm Mah main blades. The stock tail rotors are only 54mm. I'm assuming I would only need to run 64 or 68mm+ if I wanted to run larger main rotors, and did the stretch? Or does the tail not hold well on these? I took a chance at the advice of heliproz to get some 56mm CF blades I think they will suffice for my flying style. I'm still learning, and I prefer scale like flights anyways. I will eventually try doing most thing I can do with my planes, but I doubt I will ever get into 3d crazyness like I see the pros doing.

Does anyone have some good advice on other upgrades or weak points for this heli? I'm going to have to tear it completely down to replace the main metal bracket in the center. It's broken around the motor mount. So while I have it apart I'm going to replace some of the bearings. I might as well get anything else taken care of while it's apart, this looks like it's going to be a long project anyways. Funding is going to be slow. Saving up for vacation, and I still need a gyro, tail servo, esc, rx...... ohh the list never ends why can't I stop..... My wife is going to send me to HA. It's a good thing the frames are small I can hide it easy when there in no tailboom skids or head on it. I may need help.... Isn't that the first step? Hi I'm Paul I'm addicted to R/C helicopters. The only comfort I have is that I know I'm not alone in my addiction...hehehe

HeliDirect has 68mm CF tail blades for the Lepton. That's what I've been using for quite some time.

We haven't seen Colonel Angus around these parts for years!

Are you running with the stretched tailboom, and larger main rotors?

So no one can tell me what are the biggest tail blades I can put on without the stretch? The 56mm ones I got from heliproz ended up on my HBK2. For now I got a stock set to put on it, but I'm still looking for a good CF tail rotor, and a set of CF paddles. I would love some input from you guys flying the lepton. I can't wait to get it in the air. It's back together with all the new parts. I'm just trying to decide which esc, and gyro/tail servo combo to order.

Edit:
I see spectrapilot in the JR770 Thread saying he runs 68mm blades with no stretch. That only leaves me with 3 parts left to order. I think I'm going to get a scorpion 60amp esc, and a 770 gyro. Maybe a hitec hs5245mg for the tail servo. I think it will suffice for my flying style.

No I'm running the stock boom/belt. There are no problems running these blades.

I use
1. Align 60A ESC which has BEC built-in and Voltage selectoin from 5.0v 5.5v 6.0v to choose.

2. Hirobo 64mm CF but I found no difference from HDX 65mm plastic
3. 401 + 9254
