I will get better shots later, but this is my Avro.

It is going back to the original paint scheme that I had back in the Robbe days.

This one didn't turn out so well, so it will be the practice one and hopefully I will get a "show" canopy later.

I had just two days to paint this canopy. So I only had enough time for one coat of each color. Otherwise I would have done something more fancy.

Very modern may I ask why you didnt make the original windshield? I understand that its fits the straight lines etc.

looking nice missing some nice details though, but I bet you see this like hell in the sky..

When I repaint it, and have more time to let the coats dry, I will be able to spend more time with the tape and make those curvy lines on the windscreen. I was pretty worried about pulling off the tape and taking the paint with it. So I did the fastest job I could.

Yeah, I've been flying this exact color arrangement for four years. It's easy to see, for sure.

Finally got a couple of decent pictures of mine to post in the Avro Hall of Fame thread...

I like this machine more and more everytime I go out and fly it.

Do you fuel it through the fuel plug? If so, your fuel filter is not doing anything other than collecting all material at the filter and spit is back into the engine. Your T should be between the tank and the filter. This way, dirty fuel goes into the tank and clean fuel is fed to the engine.

I just realized that is a YS. I'm not familiar with the YS plumbing so it may not apply to you.

Benny's right, you might as well get rid of the filter if located there. That way, at least it won't be as slow to fill

He is correct. Although I have a stone filter in my fuel set up and a 'crap trap' on the output of the pump so it would only be getting the debris in the fuel line between the two filters.

I put the tee there because I needed a 90 degree bend and I had the tee in my hand!

Thank you for the compliments. It has good visibility in the sky. I think that I am going to keep it!

some really nice canopies,

in the Uk i have seen really nice ones as well, Matutu has a really nice 3D design i like the way the flag blows, i went with a standard design that Dave Fisher had when he first launched it, he has changed his paint scheme slightly since the launch, but me and Climax have the same.

As you said the colours really make it stand out, i have had some nice comments about how it looks against a dark grey sky, and i find when most are packing up at the field cos of fading light i can extra 2 or 3 tanks in complete peace as mine stands out really well.

just as a matter of interest, for those that got a proffesional paint job done how much did it cost ?

Here's to the Avro!!!

I bought my Mother-in-law a chair for xmas, but she wouldn't plug it in
