as far as which ball links?

I used the BeltCP package, but with different balls. Otherwise the connecting rods and links in the package work perfect.

Burly, thanks for the great feedback!

Tryan, of all three balls here's my thoughts

Esky - Aluminum and wear quickly. Bad bad bad
B400 - Stainless, very nice. Good Good Good. Really good in fact. Same size (threads and ball) as the Esky balls so they are a direct replacement.
Align - Stainless and same quality as B400, but larger. Also you get to use the Align ball links which IMO are better than the Esky/Elflight ball links. They are larger, fit more precisely and are inexpensive.

If I had it to over, I would use the Align balls and links. For those with the CNC or B400 swash, the Align balls are a direct fit. Also, in the purple CNC head, all but two balls are aluminum and wear quickly. I've replaced all the aluminum balls with either B400 balls, or where they fit, the Align balls.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I currently have the LONG B400 on all 7 swash locations. The Align long balls will definitely work for the outer, swash to servo, balls. However, they may be too large for the inner 4 balls.

Thanks greg once again your a wealth of knowledge. The align should fit nicely then in My fiberglass frame on the CNC head. I am on my way to having a Trex 300SEV1.

Toolman,

Just pop the links off once in a while and check for wear on the balls themselves, that is now your weak link as far as wear goes. Your overall week link is now the servo horn. Depending on the typeof servo, some horns seem a littly flimsy (jr185's especially) and others are pretty rigid.

Burly,
Yeah. Youre right about that. between the esky servos and the balls. They seemed alright but i figured it would be okay on the King. I didnt really trust the esky servos a whole lot. The horns were weak looking. It was a very fun heli though. I could turn that pup on a dime and get 9 cents change. Have you received your Mini yet? That baby is so much fun. I think my skill level went up when i got it.

UPS say delivery is on schedule for tomorow afternoon!!!!

Unfortunately I have to get a root canal at 1030. Im thinking that coming home to the mini sitting at the door will keep the pain away.
