yep and daddy Thunder Power told me we can get 6s packs that are 2 3s packs in tandem... so it should go right under the canopy no sweat....

Well guys here is an update on the Ion-X Belt drive. I changed the belt ratio tonight to get the headspeed up where it should be. I bought a hacker fan to mount on the motor. It was a perfect fit, but I broke it while trying to get it installed. Good thing it is winter. I also went ahead and tossed the flybar I moved my Vbar to the ion and got everything set up. Hopefully the weather will hold out this weekend and we will see if it flies. I just need to screw the battery plates back on and give it a check over. Here are some new pics.

Success at last! We ended up at 9:1 ratio and 12S 5000 TP packs running just over 2000 headspeed at 80% throttle. The scorpion pulled every bit as well as a Actro 32-3. Hopefully CGBOLE will get some video posted of the flight today.
