One thing I didn't see mentioned, is the possibility of some swash interaction on the negative side

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

The answere to any and all of your problems. Once your done do not use any trims, otherwise you'll be right back where you started.

My suggestion is from first-hand experience. If he has his ESC and his tail servo both mounted on the same side of his heli, I can assure you it may cause his heli to drift quite a bit while inverted.

My moto is: check the simple stuff first - make sure the heli is balanced.

I don't disagree. It is still a possibility.
