What is the best way? (Thumbs or pinch) How do you carry your transmitter? (Strap, tray or in your hands) Is there a method for 3D or scale flying? Is the technique different for helicopter and plane? I tried them all and I have not found the right way yet.

If it does not fly, who needs it?

hey
this thread is like "do you drive a chevy or ford and how do you drive?"
but.....here's how I do it:
pinch (started out thumbs)
I just have a neck strap and let it rest on my chest

by the way....there is no "right" or "wrong" way

happy flying

Thanks

Yep, do what works for you. In general thumbs flyers do better with a little expo.

I use thumbs on planes and pinch on helis.

It also feels different if you prefer a neck strap or not.

It all depends on what you prefer most.

I use a neck strap and pinch. I started out with thumbs but got tired of them slipping off the gimbals.

I went to the field and said I'm using pinch today no matter what by my second flight I couldn't really tell an difference except everything I was doing looked smoother.

Winjam, you 'should' Thank 'dood' for his efforts.

I'm 'pinch' and don't use a neck strap or tray

Consequently my flying is far from accurate.

If you're starting from scratch then 'pinch'.

PS, I've had two crashes due to my right thumb disconnecting from the cyclic gimble.
