Kyosho Caliber 30 & 60 - Concept - Nexus > Cold Temp = Stiff Ball Links

I had not flown my Caliber 30 since early fall and wanted to give it some stick time. I gave it a pre-flight inspection at my home prior to putting it in the truck (saves time and is warmer) . The ride to the flying field is a 1 hour drive, so the heli had time to get cold
soaked. When I took it aloft, I had to fight it all the time. When I checked the links they were really stiff. I have been flying my Caliber 5 all winter and in colder temps, and it flies like it is on rails. I have the Rocket City links on my Caliber 30 and my Caliber 5 has the stock links. The Rocket City links are nice links, but I guess that cold temps stiffen them up. Different compound in the plastic? Oh well just another reason for summer to hurry and get here.

That can't be good!

Good to see I'm not the only one flying the Caliber in the snow.
I like the pic of the 30 and 50 sitting so peaceful.

From last winter.
