Not that I have ever bought an Airtronics radio, servo, etc. but the RDS8000 (8 channel) 2.4 can be had for $229.99. Is airtronics just not that popular?

$370 cheaper than the 10C
$400 cheaper than the 9303
$1270 cheaper than the 12X
$970 cheaper than the 12FGH
$120 cheaper than the DX7

Am I missing something? why is it so much cheaper? I know, some of those radios have more than 8 channels, etc.

If Tower sells it for $599, which will most likely be MAP, it'll sell other places for lower than that.

Is it worth upgrading to the 10C from the 9?

Any one know if it has features like servo matching or virtual cyclic ring like the 12 and 14? If not I would not want to buy the radio for and extra channel.

I would recommend waiting to buy the Super or V2 verion.. I bought an 8 then they came out with an 8 super. Same thing with the 9. There are even 2 versions of the 12...

I'm sure the 10C 2.4 will be like night and day compared to the 9C

50feet. Where did you find this info about version 2 ??
If Futaba do not sell any radio V1 it will be ruined
We know that future version are better but we can not waiting all the life if not we would never buy nothing

10C will be my next Tx, because 6 languages ( spanish also )
7 curve points, LCD big light screen, best firmware than 9C
disadvantage: 8 atv channels and not 10

I prefer 10 times Futaba instead of JR because it haves free switchs and best software. JR 12X is a swindle, only 3 channels more than 9X ant it cost 1500 !!!!!

I didn't see it anywhere thats what futaba does. I personally will not upgrade if it does not have any new features I will use. I upgraded in the past and I don't even use the stuff the V2 version has.

Frank Noll insisted to me when i asked of latency diff between 9c and 10c that the 10c was much less. That i the only reason that i would switch to 10c. and not thex9303.

I just had the opportunity to look at the 10C at the WRAM show. It is physically the same size as the 12FG and shares alot of features with it (similar programming wheel/buttons and a bigger screen!!!). The rep told me that I can take my heli/plane profiles I have stored in my 9C and transfer them to the 10C with the campac module. That right there is why i'm very interested in this radio. I have over a dozen planes and helis and it would be a PIA to reprogram them all. I also have all Futaba receivers so adding a 72MHZ module will allow me to gradually upgrade my fleet (I'm not ready to dish out $2000 on new receivers all at once).

I realize in a previous post someone mentioned that the 72MHZ modules from the 9C would work in the 10C. I asked the rep but he was not sure if it was possible. The slot where the module would go is slightly different. It looks like it is the same square size but has an offshoot to the side with additional pins. I drew a pic of it below from what I could remember. The 9C module looks like it still will fit. There would just be an empty space to the side. I sure hope the 9C synthezized module will work because that will solidify my order.

9C module in 10C

I was just at the WRAM show and asked explicitly if my 9C module on 72MHz would fit the 10C, I was told that yes it would fit. It was explained to me that the 2.4GHz 'keyed' module is so that the Tx module can only be used with the 10C.

module 9c to 10c

After reading some the of the post and knowing that I may have spoken to some of you at the wram show. It's so new, that I haven't received all the info available on it including if the 9c 72 MHz module can be used in the 10c yet, as I learn more I will update sorry for the confusion and miss communications if any Dino.

I was able to steal this photo from another site. You can kind of see what I mean by the module not being perfectly square.
