Model Airplane News has a review - I think this month's issue - http://209.196.57.93/ME2/dirmod.asp...A30B301E62D759D

I found a number more with "Futaba 10C review" search on Google .....Also reviews on other airplane and heli forums....RCGroups / RCUniverse / helifreak etc....

So far i have 200 flights on my Futaba 10C on my Trex 600N's, 500 and my Mini Titan with ZERO issues. I came from a 9C and im really loving this radio. Great feel, and the speed (Latency) on FASST is unreal. Just wanted to let everyone know

10C and 36MHz and 40MHz

Hi guys,

Is there anyone in Australia or NZ that has tried a 36 or 40MHz module in the 10C, i know 2.4GHz is the idea here but i've got some old models and old receivers which i don't want to convert.

I read the product manual and it gives the OK for 72 and 50 only but i'm hoping thats only because it's a US manual..

Any knowledge would be good.

Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff,
I emailed Futaba & they said no problem for 40MHZ..
I can use my old 8UHP module no worries.. so the 10C is on order

No reviews yet. The link you posted isn't a review, it is a simple product description. I found no actuall reviews via google either.

Perhaps RC Heli magazine will review this soon.

I look forward to it.

Hi guys

What do you know about the problems with Futaba 10C in MODE 4 ?
The Throttle/Pitch trim dont works in MODE 4 only....

before there had heat problems with R6014 Receivers and now 10C has a defective software

Futaba will refund our money or we must to ship our 10C to the Futaba Service Center in North America ?

Mode I has throttle and aileron on the right stick, with elevator and rudder on the left stick.

Mode II has aileron and elevator on the right stick and throttle and rudder on the left stick.

Whenever Futaba announces a solution to the Mode 4 trim difficulty, then your regional service center should be able to apply the solution. We would perform the service for those transmitters purchased in North America. If you are intent on obtaining a refund for your purchase, you will have to talk to the retailer who sold you your equiment. They would be the only one who could perform any kind of refund or exchange.

If you do not use Mode 4, then there is no cause for concern.

Hello baxter
I am user of MODE 4

1. Who is going to pay the expenses of shipment to me to send the transmitter to the technical service ?

2. The problem is mine or of futaba ?

3. Why Futaba is selling defective transmitters to the world instead of to solve the problems with the transmitters already sold ?

4. Why on the stores they do not warn of those problems of the 10C ?
The shops were not warned by Futaba ?

5. Futaba only thinks with money and why they dont stop to ship defective transmitters outside Japan ?

6. All the 10C of the market are defective at this moment and how we will to know that the 10C is not going to have this problem ? they will stick a sticker on the box with " NO DEFECTIVE" ?

As-of today:

We have received new software for the Futaba 10C transmitter which corrects the trim difficulty for Mode 4 users. If your transmitter was purchased through Great Planes, the North American distributor for Futaba R/C Hobby products, you can send your transmitter to us to have the new software installed into your transmitter. If your transmitter was purchased elsewhere, please contact your regional Futaba distributor for the procedure to have the software updated.

Could some here recommend a Tray that will work well with the 10C ? I tried modifying mine but is not working really well...I tried some Robbe-Futaba trays at IRCHA but they were made for the 14 mz radios . I emailed Robbe-Futaba but have gotten no response.
Thanks,
Roberto.

Alpine,

I also fly on tray and have same problem to find one.
I modify my tray of FF9 (acrylic), small modification on lower and made a new upper side but the acrylic I used is lower quality then the original one.

Robbe also didn't reply my question about available acrylic tray for T10.

If you don't mind the messy look of the coax wire, get the Spektrum Module with wire from module to antenna. You know, there weren't any trays available when the newer, larger size TX's came out years ago. Wait a little while for someone to come up with one or stay on 72 and use what you got.

I don't think you answer Andika question that he had posted.

I'll be d____ if it needs to come out of consumer pocket to ship the radio to Futaba for service when Futaba ship defective product out of their door.

could you answer the question...

It was in the air, but now it's on the ground. :)
