Yes I have the RTF but the can motor only lasted 10 or 12 flights.I pulled the brushs and thay were smoked.Crazy...I just put the E sky 3100 and it's crap.Runs fine but starts hard,and I just found this place and thats what ervery body is saying...So much for that

well the 3100 is a good replacement compared to the brushed as you found out. But there are a lot of people using esky 3800 or 3900 Im using an 300HDX3800rpm comes with fan but never gets hot. Im running a 10t its a hot little heli. takes a little frame shaving but fits great. they all start hard these little outrunners are powerful I considered getting a softstart speed controller to be a little easier on the gears.

Great stuff thanks,I got there 25 amp speed control with it .I'm new to this electric stuff what do you mean soft start ?? It does start up hard.I did flip this thing inverted with the brush motor and it fell out quick I havent tryed with the new motor...

Soft start is when the esc slowly ramps up speed. Like some power tools I have used. Instead of drawing all kinds of current and dimming the lights to start at full power, they ramp up to full speed. It is a nice feature. I know some of the Hobbywing ESCs show that they have it.

your thumbs must be slow.
No matter how slow I go with my throttle I still get the torque kick I may add skid stops It looks crappy with a scale heli kicking out like that on a slick surface.
