Has any body bent a main shaft on a HBK yet?I've bent a feathering shaft on mine,but my boys is chicken dancing all over the place after a few tip overs trying to fix his tail problems...

norsman, Yes I have had several and it can wreek havoc !!! If you are unsure if it is straight, take it out and chuck it in a cordless drill and you will see for Sure how straight it is.

Or since your in PA just have fender come over he'll set it up trim it out and get you hovering.

Can I just undo the bottom set screw and the middle one ,undo some linkige and pull??Is there any thing holding the belt pully??

Hovering is not the problem,the tail on these things are.I've owend several gas heli's this is my first electric one.I've orderd that 43t belt for mine see if it helps.I've read about moveing the servo up on the tail boom that's a new one.I moved the servo horn and it helped some but then it binds on the slider?? Can't win

Hey Doug,the shaft is up past the pulley and stoped.I'm really yocking on this thing and nothing.Thers no pins in the shaft is there??? Thanks

It gets marred the shaft that is and gets stuck in the bearings yank it out and polish it with wetordry sandpaper to put it back in. As far as the tail If you set it up right with a good HH gyro the tail works great except for hard 3D. which the king isn't a 3D machine to start with.

Hey I have actually done this and can help ... maybe.

To pull main shaft

1) Remove the little bolt and nut on the main gear.
2) Pull up on the shaft while holding the belt pulley in place. (Notice the pin that comes out of the top of the pulley)
3) Remove the pin.
4) Remove the main gear if you have not done so already.
5) While holding the belt pulley, pull the main shaft the rest of the way out.

I did this recently with out loosening the belt.

Shaft is out and bent every so slightly.The old roll it on the table trick.You guys really think it the gyros that are bad.What's the cheapest gyro that will work I've got less the 2 bills in this thing....

I know I live in amish country myself To north for hispanics so we hire amish for building and demoloshing. Cause us americans is lazy.

Poor guy already bought a 43t you seen bluesabers vid strong tail no loss in major hopups. But he said it wasnt that big a difference.

norsman you do know that with the 43t pulley it requires a different belt only available from the people selling the pulley mod. Stock belt doesn't work.

I love my gy240 I bought the best from the start so I dont know any better

there are some they say are just as good and cheaper the logitec 2100 is pretty popular.

I understand the gyro cost thing. I already had the gy240 so it was the logical thing to do. Do you have the RTF flying the brushed motor?
