e-Hirobo SRB Quark - Lepton - XRB Coaxial > 3150 or 3155?

Hi, I'm mounting a lepton and I don't know what servos mount.
I'm between futaba 3150 and 3155. Whitch are better for the ciclic?

3150 stronger but 3155 faster and cheaper. Too weak teh 3155?

thanks

Here are the specs on the two. The 3150 are a little smaller and the 3155 would definately fit the Lepton perfectly. The torque on the 3155's is a little low but should work for sport flying. The better choice is the Airtronics 94761Z's which have both speed and torque, but you pay for what you get.

Cheers
Blik

do not mount those, go for the 9650 if you want performance.

The 9650's are a good servo but will not fit the Lepton unless you cut some of the carbon frame away. If you want top of the line then go with the 94761Z's otherwise the Futaba 3100 series servos will work. I guess it all comes down to your budget and the type of flying you do.

In my book the Airtronics is out of the question because I can't find parts for it ...

Note that although there is a difference in speed between the 3150 and 3155, the speed is recorded and published at no load.
When you apply some load and turn the servo 60 degrees, guess what happens. The faster servo with the lower torque rating turns almost as fast as the slower servo with the higher torque rating.
Also, the difference in speed is almost 2x for 60 degrees movement.
Even with hard 3D you won't be requiring the servo to do 60 degrees at any one time. So in my opinion, torque is more critical than speed when comparing the 3150 to the 3155 for the Lepton.

I went with the 3150.

Good luck.

Oh and by the way, the 3150 is dual ball bearing while the 3155 is not.

Very well. Demosa, I agree with your reasons.
I don't know where to buy the airtronics servos online. Some good place to buy it?
I will think about the airtronics and the 9150.
I fly 3D, just started with piro filps, etc.

My recomendation is to go for the 9650.

You will regret if buying the 3150, they are not up to this heli. You will think that the heli does not fly well, that it boggs and many other things heard in this forum about this heli. You wil then sell it.

I have been there.

OK, no 9150 for great performance. Airtronics 94761Z are 10$ more expensive but have more torque and fit lepton's frame.

Aren't better the airtronics 94761Z?

thanks Fenando ;-)

I pulled apart my Futaba 3155 and my one had 2x ball bearings.

And hitec doesn't have a good servos for lepton?

I'm thinking about trying the Hitec HS-5245MG in mine. I'm not sure about fit though.

Hiow did you go with the 5245mg's in the Lepton?

Thinking of trying some myself.

HS-5245MG will NOT fit...They were my first choice. They are too wide for the stock frame. Even the servo mounting screws will not match the holes on the stock servo mounts. I had to send them back. I'm currently using Airtronics 94761z and they fit perfectly.

If you can wait, HS-5082MG is due to be out. It's the digital version of the HS-81 which others have used in the Lepton.

Nah I'll be happy with just analogs on this heli.
Trying to keep the cost down & current draw to a minimum.

My friend tried 3150 and he feels it is a way too slow and he moves to use Airtronics which is much better now.

For me, we want to try JR3405. I think I will get them from hobby shop today and see how will work out!!
