Recommended Belt-CP Improvements

I really like the Belt CP. However, there are a few items that need a small improvement with the kit. They are:
  • canopy rod slides side-to-side
  • battery is not overly secure
  • battery tray is weak (especially in a sub-zero crash situation)
  • swash anti-rotation bracket breaks too easily (see note above)

I recommend making these simple improvements to your kit...

Materials:
  • CA adhesive
  • 2 popsicle sticks
  • 2 pcs - 1" adhesive velcro
  • 1 pc high-density foam - 37x32x15mm
  • hot melt glue

Details:

  1. CA the popsicle sticks to both sides of the battery tray
  2. Fasten 1 pc of velcro to the foam block, and another piece to the back of the battery tray
  3. Secure the foam block to the battery tray
  4. Add 1 pc of velcro to the front cross member of the battery tray
  5. Cut the last pc of velcro and attach it to the battery at the corresponding point

Battery can now be installed in the heli, and will be secure.

  6. put a small dab of hot melt glue on both sides of the canopy rod
(this allows you to be able to easiy remove it if/when necessary)
  7. reinforce the swash anti-rotation bracket with hot melt glue

Improvements complete!

Happy flying!
