why does my HBk2 hop while in hover seems to smooth out then return,,, kinda like the tail hops up and down,, i just put in a feathern shaft, tracking is dead on , just tail likes to hop a little sometimes, my feathern shaft is nice i think ,i mean for loose ness , i know someone here has had it happened, but can't find the thread, oh i did put in a flybar thing too,

You may be barking up the wrong tree. It could be a lack of power to the servos mine was hopping bad at the end till my BEC died.

Headspeed is too low will usually cause this problem. If you have an extra twist in the belt it will hop. A tooth missing in a servo. Just a few things to look at...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Most us poor people can only guess headspeed from some dumb calculator. But TMAXX is correct low headspeed will make it bobble especially with a little breeze. So If you dont know your headspeed whats your motor and pinion size or are you still stock?

Check all the head pieces from the swash up for slop or loose screws. I had a bit of a bobbing issue that was apparently due to a washout arm getting wobbly. I couldn't get it tightened enough to lose the wobble, so I used that as an excuse to get the purple washout. No slop, bobbing has 85% gone away (the remainder is probably due to thermals and wind) and tracking has improved.

Carefully check the seesaw arm and Bell control arms for hidden breaks.

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

With replaced servos, your pitch might be affected.

I'd be checking it.

It could be taking off before proper head speed is reached, giving your heli "the hops".

i do have a tach, thought i did, what is the head speed suppose to be?, i have about +11 at full throttle ,im about ready to take this trailer Queen out in the snow,do some laps with it.

+11 thats pitch from a pitch guage. A tach would read mainrotor headspeed in RPM I would just guess for a slow king around 1800-2000rpm. But the pitch range should be -2 to +9 or +10 normal mode.

If your feeding too much positive pitch with too little headspeed it will hop. Your engine on 9T is a great match so I would look elsewhere.

you got a false reading on your rpms trust me the plastic head may of exploded at 4000rpm. I got aprx 2600 at 100% with a 300HDX3800rpm 10t.
a 15t turns around 3000rpm.
