Vario Sky Fox - Benzin - Evolution - Xtreme > Aerobatics with long boom Acrobatic

Since some time ago I asked whether my new stretched Acrobatic (810mm blades) was capable of mild aerobatics and no-one was able to give me a definitive answer, I would like to say that it can. Today for the first time I've been doing some nice flips etc. with the standard clutch and the standard 230RC engine (1340 rpm headspeed).

So both myths are busted: there is no need to upgrade to the heavy duty clutch and/or to a more powerful or even ported engine (although of course the long boom Acrobatic as it is - like many other helis - would clearly benefit from a more powerful motor).

i had the short boom acrobat i sold it after a few months run it at 1600 rpm with throttle mixing on cyclic was ok with slow flips rolls loops but not much else the head is to soft and not designed for anything more then sport flying.they are a big bird and i loved the look but to heavy for me got a spectra g now and what a difference flys like my old raptor 90 se 1850 headspeed plus minus 11 on pitch climbs and flips as fast as most 90 size. like i said its all in the flying weight my acrobat was around 15 lb the x cell is 12lb and smaller with 710 mm tt blades.just depends on your flying style must say the vario was very smooth right from the first tank also wish it had a driven tail for autos.
