I am ready for Brooks too... if you get there first save me a spot.

We are getting there very early this year and so we'll save you a spot in our traditional camp!

Depth perception....isn't it great!! I'm the pilot of the R22 helicopter in that picture and I was actually a lot closer to the circle (sprinkler) than I was to the R/C helicopter. It is a great photo though. Glad I was able to be there this year and give helicopters rides. It was a great turn out and everyone had a blast. Looking forward to next year.

Well what a fun time, I just wanted to let everyone know that I got all my pics dumped to a couple of DVD's and should anyone want a copy that is not a local here in Spokane, shoot me a PM and a couple of bucks to cover the dvd's and shipping and I'll be happy to mail you all of them (around 3500 pics). Here are a couple of samples...

Can't wait to do it again next year!

Skid awsome night shots.
Steve thanks again for the chopper ride is was great.
Just placed an order for some night tail blades.
Again. Had a great weekend and would like the DVD what ever the price is. It was great to see old friends and make new ones.
This hobby is a wonderful thing. I must say when I go to a Plank fun fly....It's all about "who is the roster". Our fun flys are "how can I help you get better".
Your all a great family to be apart of.
Cheers.

Thanks guy’s for the kind words. To read that meant a lot to me It was a lot of work but well worth it. I’m glad we had some nice weather. It could have been a little cooler but all in all I think it was a success. (Record temps for us this time of year)We had 41 registered pilots.

I’d like to thank everyone for coming with the gas prices the way they are.

We gave away 22 plaques to the contest winners. I forgot to thank Dan Chin at the awards so every one could hear for his hard work judging ALL of the contests. I did give him a big thank you before he left. I’m going to buy him a nice dinner or something.

I know I’m going to misspell some of the names.
Contest winners:

Expert 1st Kenny McDonald. 2nd Casey Veranth 3rd Alan Wellington

Advanced 1st Marcus Hubbard 2nd Shawn Emsley 3rd Paul Susbauer
(Shawn and Paul by one point.)

Intermediate 1st Perry Pike 2nd Lonnie Osterholm 3rd Bill Massy

Novice 1st Tom Pierce 2nd Karl Hewlet 3rd Mike Hurlburt

Auto contest 1st Mark Edwards 2nd Chris Bloom 3rd Mike Hamilton

Heli Bowling 1st Bill Massy 2nd Perry Pike 3rd Lonnie Osterholm.

Drag race 1st Marcus Hubbard 2nd Mark Edwards 3rd Casey Veranth

I think the new guy to watch will be Sam2b for the amount of time I hear he has been flying he is doing outstanding!! Maybe another Kenny? He stayed after everyone left and kept practicing for another hour or so while we were packing up. (His enthusiasm reminds me of myself when I started.) That’s what it takes…burning fuel or electrons.

I’m going to PM a few of you with Gary’s e-mail address so you guys can pass it around to write Gary to give him a BIG thank you

A BIG thanks to Steve kinney for briging his full size chopper to give rides. That was Cooool

I'm sorry ther were no tunes for Saturday night my cd player was skippig on all the disks.

Again I would like to thank those who donated pilots drawing prizes.

I had a message on my home phone from Ron at Heli Proz south he said he forgot to send anything so he said to write 50.00 on a piece of paper and he will honor it.

Ther were also 3 gift certificates for 10.00 each from Tower hobbies in a box on my deck.

I'll bring them to Brooks and the people that didnt get any thing can draw for them.

I really enjoyed my new 5th wheel. I’ve never been so comfortable at a fun fly!!
I should have bought one years ago. When you get as old as I am you appreciate these things more.

See you guys at Brooks.
