Tri City Modelers 7th annual FF May 16, 17,18 In Othello Wa
We got raving reviews for the Weaver field last year. We were happy to see our out of town guests come back and hope to see more this year. The wind has always been an issue for us at our own field. We are lucky to have a friend like Gary to let us have a FF at his field. We are looking forward to seeing our friends and another flying season here in the great northwest. This will be an AMA sanctioned event. George Vargo jr. will be the CD and I will be co CDing this event. The landing fee will be 20.00 for the week end. For more info contact: helibill1@verizon.net. There will be more details to come.

Update

After word got out I must have gotten 20 e-mails and phone calls from some VERY happy people that don’t subscribe to this forum the first couple of weeks I posted this event that it will be in Othello again this year as planned

We will be having all the contests. Beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert, autos, drag racing and heli bowling if I can get the ball from the Spokane boys. I pm’ed Bill M. and he said he will bring it if Perry can’t make it.
I also have some new ideas for the auto and drag racing to make it more interesting for some.

Well getting ready to go flying it’s supposed to 52 today with 5 mph winds and blue skies.
I will be updating things from time to time.

I just booked my room for the event. Myself or Perry will bring the Heli bowling ball and attachments from Spokane.
For all of you that did not attend last year. The field is awsome.
Can't wait to hear some of Bills new tracks blaring out of the sound system.

billm,

What hotel did you choose? The one I stayed at last year was way too expensive for just a crash pad.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

The Hotel is the Best Western Lincoln Inn.
A bit spendy but one of the only games in town. Not even a bar in the hotel so byob.

Attention Heli Shoppers! It looks like my boss is going to let me play hookey. He is going to shelton for a pylon race and the store will be a bit short handed with both of us gone. No guarantee but I should make it. I may be bringing a couple of new heli pilots along. One has a great trailer to stay in. Which means no wife and kids this year. "Oh" darn!!!!! Looks like it will be a blast. If I am lucky I may bring all 6 of my heil's. I figure plenty of spares just in case. Need to find the bowling stuff. Pins are in the garage, but not sure where the ball is... Anyone want to pre-register for the heli bowling please sign up.

Bill P. looks like the FF will be as grand of an event as last year. Perhaps even better.

Hotel option is Moses Lake. 30min drive but better prices.. Motel 6 last year. Great price. Still came out less even with the extra gas with the extra drive. There are a couple of pardon the punn (rat holes) in othello that are affordable.. Just not listed on the net. You would have to do an early scouting run to find them. If I get a chance I may do so just in case the trailer does not fall through..

Untill then keep flying and don't forget to sign up for "Heli Bowling"

Thanks Bill P. for putting this together...

Heli Bowling

As Perry put it, A few brave soul's tried it last year "harder than it looks" The key is not to get the ball in the air becuse it'll start swinging Draging the ball is the ticket I'll try it again this year I have to defend my Spokane title.I think perry took it last year in Othello
