Hey guys,

Just got in from Germany last night. Too much to talk about, but here is some of the info I have.

Logo 400 - same old L 10 frame, same gearing and tail boom parts. 200t main gear made of the new black plastic. The battery support has been redesigned out of plastic, sort of like the old CF short support, and it looks more integrated. Canopy looks quite good. New, smaller fins on the tail. ~430mm main blades. Of course, a shorter boom & belt. Inge mentioned trying to get the kits to the US within 2-3 months. No driven tail, but this thing will be really light. No pricing mentioned.

New BlueTooth modules for V-Bar will be shipping soon, and will be cheaper than the first versions.

The new V-Bar Control Panel is really cool, and has an SD card slot for saving and trading settings files. And, you can update the device itself through the SD card.

The new Modulus 1 herringbone gear is 106t, but I can't remember what size pinions were being produced. I'm sure there will be a range.

Some of the Mikado team guys were there at the booth on Saturday, and it was great seeing them again. Expect another great showing at IRCHA this year!

Mod 1.0 Herringbone, that ought to look mean indeed, lol. That does bring up the ratio abit for sure but not much over the 96Tooth from the Logo 16...hmmmm. Interesting times ahead.

Hey , I will go out on a limb here
Heres what I see and one of the main reasons why my logo 500 stretched to swing 640s didnt make it to Vegas this year
I had mine rigged out with a 32-3, Yep I was dreading it because of 3 things that was pointed out to me in PMs some months back when I started stretching it above a 600 size machine
1 Breaking shafts.
2 oneway bearing failures
3 stripping gears
I been waiting on the mod 1 gears , YEH! good for 10s and a 32-3 or maybe 12s with a beafy esc and gov down to 2200

heres what I would like to see come into play

I have a Logo 30 , and heres some pictures of the oneway that is in it
it has 2 bearing inside . to use this , all that would be needed is a longer shaft , 25 to 30mm longer
and heres the shaft out of the Logo 30 , nice and thick , my guess about 3 times thicker than the 600. I would like to see it twice as thick as the 600 now

now about the 400. Ralf . MAN! thats all Im ganna say on that one

Tony

mod 1 HB gear

The mod 7 works great with the 3rd bearing support with the 32-3 on 10s

yeh! it will work fine on the 600 , but stretched , naw! its at its limit. and thats where the mod 1 comes into play. Ralf was saying at IRCHA the mod 1 will come out soon.

Whooooo well mind you I barely got any flights on my 600s before the big freeze, maybe a dozen flights total between the two but I could not see any wear issues at all to be concerned about, no dust or anything with the 32-3 banging as hard as I could with it to. This was the mod .7 which I thought is fantastic. I know Tom and Max are still on their sme mod.7 main gear since last Ircha so the mod 1.0 must be like the mega insurance plan I guess or for the 12S peeps..

The new gear looks super meaty wow! What toot you run a 12 or 13 with the 32-3 Bobby?

I wonder if the reason Mikado is bringing in the Mod 1 and a stronger shaft is for a 700 conversion?

Yea who knows, I certainly had no idea. I do like the idea though, can never have enough.

I am willing to bet we might see a Kryptonite main shaft yet!

All joking aside always nice to see new cool stuff!

Tony, I think I am going to get some bright pink stickers made for you, they will say "No Stretching", for your booms.

Shawn, I have been developing a "boom stretcher" it's going to sell for $19.95usd and will work on the 400 booms up to the 600.

kidding aside, things sure are going to get interesting now with the new goodies. For me the 600mm is just fine.

Cant wait to see what you come up with Tony.

Maybe there will be a Logo 700 from Mikado soon?
That would cover up most sizes: 400 - 700.
