Hi to all
Just wanted to know which blades are best for the C5?.
I am using 3 types Mavs 600 g4cf, MAh600 tapered and Rototecs600cf
Although the mav600 makes my c5 cruise they some times cause pitching in ff and my paddles are level.
The MAH blades did just great for tic tocs, rainbows flips and rolls etc, compared to the mavs you have to flare more when autoing.
The roto techs are the best so far for me now, better than the above two I also bought a pair of the new Mav G5wide cord havnt had a chance to fly them yet. Cant wait for warmer weather.
What do you guys think?

Radix Blades fly great on my C5. Heck I save some coin and get the cosmetically flawed ones straight from Curtis.

700N, EVO 50, Caliber 5, Beam 450, and comming soon TREX 9000 :)

What is the weight of the radix compared to the rototecs any one knows? lighter,stiffer?

Radix 600s work great. Don't have any idea as to relative weights. I've heard good stuff about the new Mavrikk G5's, but haven't had the opportunity to try a set. That would take a crash, and that would mean that the weather allows flying and that would mean there would be no snow on the ground and.....

I assume you mean spacers to make the root fit the grip. I've got a ton of 1 mm thick aluminum spacers that come with the Mavrikk blades that I've stockpiled over the years. One on top of the root, one on bottom, the blade fits like a glove.

Hi everyone
Did you guys know that there are two different types of G5 600 blades?,The wide and narrow cord. The norrow is just like the G4 600 I just bought a gram scale from Harbor Freight so I can use it for set up.
Hey DK I always keep a set or two of spare blades cause terra firma seems to call on my heli from time to time, although i keep telling it to resist. Out here the piles of snow is just about gone now and still no flying with temps in the 20s and 30s I think I will wait.
Our club field is about a 1/4 mile off the main road and after all the rains falling here I know its one muddy mess, and yes i also have a collection of those aluminum spacers courtesy of broken blades.

I fly now with radix 600, wow! autos are almost eternal, I suppose the same effect with the new Mavvs G5 due to the wider spanwise.

If you buy Radix look at cosmetically flawless blades and save some bucks. If you see in detail the blades are 99.5 % perfect.

The piles of snow here just keep on hanging around. We're supposed to see another 9-13 inches of white stuff by morning.

This weather sucks big time.

9-13 inches of snow I hear the snow blower.
Hey BJ because the G5wc is so wide that I got from HP do you fly them with the same pitch range for eg 12-14 deg on my 600n pro on my C5 I can get 10-11 deg of pitch. What deg are you using?.

I've been flying RotorTech 600s and have no complaints.
The stock C-5 blades are not to bad either.
Both Auto very nicely.
I flew the Mavrikk G-4 and did not like them. For some reason they would load the engine when inverted. I messed with the curve and still couldn't get rid of the bog down. Swithced to the RotorTechs and the problem was gone.
My curve in idle-up is set at -10 0 +10 always
