| I've had a axe-cp for a couple of months now. Tail is very unstable so I decided to get a GY240 gyro. today I got the gyro and an electrifly c-12 esc to drive the tail motor. Connected the gyro and the C-12 esc without any issues. I plugged in the Lipo, everything looks fine, so I started the c-12 initiation process. I move the rotor stick all the way to the right and it beeps 4 times, so far so good. I move the stick all the way to the left and 4 beeps again, just like the instructions say. An instant later, puff!!! it goes in smoke. I disconnected the battery immediately. Of course at this point I know the C-12 esc is busted ( I don't know why though) so I take it out, plug the battery again and the main rotor goes immediately full speed. I move the throttle up and down and no change. looks like the main esc has a short circuit and let's full power to the motor regardless the throttle position.
Does anyone have any experience with installing a gyro to the Axe-CP? What could have gone wrong to bust both ESCs? I check all connections and they all had the correct polarity. |
