Ok Guys,

Not that I'm gonna buy one or anything, but was curious about the Walkeria stuff. Anybody ever own one? How's the quality? The reason that I am asking, is when I was looking around to buy I looked at both brands, and decided to go the Esky route. Noticed that thier helis were cheaper, but it just seemed like there sure was alot of them listed on evil bay. I also watched some you tube stuff before I made up my mind as well. I am totally happy with my Esky HBK2 so I have no regrets or anything. But like I said before I'm just curious about them. Any thoughts?

JC, I had a Walkera 60 about a year ago. It flew O.K. for a short period of time, sold it as soon as possible. Definately not the Best heli out there. If you notice Walkera doesn't even have a forum here on RunRyder, they have a pretty bad reputation in the industry for the most part. The Walkera 22 E looks like it flies pretty good, kinda Blade CP ish. Some guys are having some fun with the little guy, the 52, very small with collective pitch. Like with anything JC, your gonna have guys that just plainly say "Walkera SUCKS" and maybe some that will say" it ain't so bad with a lil tweaking and upgrading. The head on the Walkera 60 is strangely similar to the Kings head. Most of the complaints I have heard are related to the stock electronics.

A guy "in the biz" told me that Esky and Walkera are separate plants operating under the same parent company. He said they share some of the same manufacturing, but fortunately, the electronics are different divisions.

Take it for what it's worth, but it seems to make sense.

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

Thanks guys. That does clarify things. I did notice no forum, so that was kinda why I was asking.

I was considering Walkera when I first started looking for a 400 size heli. The 35#c was a bit cheaper then the belt and looked to be a decent heli. I was sold on esky when I seen the dealer at the local trade show with esky parts. It's nice knowing I can get parts on the weekend less then 5 miles from me. I'm still thinking about getting a walkera 4#3. I think it would be fun for in the house. It would be more of a challenge then a coax for sure. I've herd they have their share of problems, but I've seen videos of them flying very stable with some tweaking.

Be aware that Venom is re-badged Walkera. I have a 3DXL and it took replacing ALL the electronics to get it to fly. Generally the build of the machine is ok but the electronics were terrible.
