pretty good flying huh?

except for the Brushless main...this is a stock HBK.....stock plastic head, stock wood blades, and stock plastic tail...which I'm assuming has the stock geometery(tail slider DOES NOT travel all the way both directions)......stock e-sky servos including the tail servo and an e-sky gyro....cheap,simple and effective....nothing fancy or expensive.....no high speed digital servos or high end gyros.....no purple bling...no CF

so all you newbies getting caught up in the bling/upgrade thing....take note......its the pilot that makes it....yes bling looks COOL as CAN BE....but is not necessary to have a great flying heli.........spend less time blingin' your heli and more time in the air.....just some food for thought..........FENDER

watched that vid soon after I got mine love that. All good points fender there is a lot of problems with people and E-Sky helis lately. As Slider would say have you checked your setup? Know what he was right! Know your heli tune your heli fly your heli. It is really just that simple. But dag nab it fender I like the purple CNC head.

Its kinda like --- Give a guitar to 20 different people and your gonna get 20 different sounds. Its more what YOU do with it than what it can do. I used to blame the heli--- now, I blame myself !!

yes the bling is cool(hate the color)...but it seems many are not taking the time to learn proper set up and trouble shooting....if something is not 100%..the first reaction is upgrade....no offense to anyone directly....I clearly remember trying to get my first hover,so I dont think I'm better than ANYONE....but guys who are still learning basics are too worried about performance......you will not feel any performance upgrades till FF.....stop blingin, start flyin

Absofreakinlutely

And fender your first hover was on a much harder heli than the king.

I had to tell myself I liked the color for a week Id still rather had minititan chrome.

I was sidein and FF before the metal head showed up.
But the musician thing was awesome. My daughters wanted to play trumpet $30 a month for 2 years rental from the school. I got one online $100 is it perfect no but the music teacher told her the china made ones aren't very good he didnt even look at it. Tells you a lot about that teacher huh.

good question....he was doing 3D with an e-sky servo/gyro and the tail looked like it held fine to me....its mental....once you get it in your head the tail isn't holding....then you think the tail isn't holding.........I'm not saying guys who are pushing the heli to extremes couldn't use better gear......but until you are REALLY pushing things....stock will fly.....now if you want to bling out your heli cause you like the way it looks or you want a really nice heli, thats one thing.........but the idea that bling makes it easier to fly or MAKES you a better pilot....just not true

I don't even want to bore you guys with how many helis I bought in the last 11 months.

But I will say my biggest thrills in this hobby have been "baby step" improvements in my flying.

I bought some upgrades, haven't installed any. I did wreck my original tail servo and replaced with a better one. Im very tempted to start using a better radio thats still in the box. So far I refused to upgrade until I can fly. About 4 flights today without a crash, mostly tail in, left, right, but thats about it. Nose in scares me!

If anything upgrades Ive done to my heli has made it harder to fly.

the 10t pinion on the 3800rpm brushless and metal head made the cyclic super fast and harder to control its faster than I am. sgt heli If you got a radio say 2.4ghz in nature I would say add that upgrade as a newbie and dont look back thats not an upgrade its a convenience and will give a bit more stability just due to the stick inputs smooth movement and speed.

thats a whole different ballgame....that you will feel IMMEDIATELY....that will make some things a little easier as you can change curves and add expo...plus the sticks are smoother...if you have a radio USE IT

Yeah, I really think a little expo could help me in the hover.

Got really windy here this afternoon. Let it get up and away from me one time and that was all it took. Got it down safely and flew alot closer to the ground after that.

Thanks for all the good advise.

Just my two cents from a newbie, You have got to remember that this is a VERY mechanical machine! The number of revovling and moving parts, packed with the electronics, makes helis hard to learn. Most of us do not have an instructor and with the exception of the sims(which only help with orientation or practice) you can only learn by trying. It has been a hard learning curve for me, I think too much and react to little because i try to do it too fast. But that my style.
Everyone will have some type of learning curve, but it comes down to you get what you put into it.

AM i rambling, i think im rambling. ohh well, just my thoughts on the matter.
