So as a pc tech you know about loading of the switching power supply and the signal wires that need to be satisfied to enable the dc output voltages on an ATX supply AT is not necessary?

The one I am building is an 8A but I can always make another

What kind of plugs is everyone using? I have been thinking about using banana because they are nice and clean and work very well. But using them will cost more than using a bolt and grommet.

Edit: As for loading the 5V bus, I believe it depends on the power supply design. Higher end models should have discrete supplies and should not need a load to maintain voltage. Cheaper ones will probably have a shared design and will need to be loaded. I have not tested mine yet but I will know tomorrow what I need to do.
