Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give my thumbs up (new that they are) to two purchases that have helped out quite a bit. First is the X-treme turnbuckles. Since I have put those on, things in the head are much more stable. Haven't seen any tracking deviations, but then again I'm still learning a hover so can't give you an absolute "buy these and never have an issue".
The other is the BC6 charger. After running my packs (1 @ 1000Mah and 2 more @ 1250Mah)down doing some "RADD-esque" (I call them that because I've altered them a little) training sessions, I used it for the first time last night using the balance mode. Charged each in about an hour, give or take. I'm glad I was reading the forum last night about charge settings. I had the 1000mah pack set at 2C for a while, I did catch it later but I think the majority of the pack charged at it, it's prbably shot now (it was the cheapie/freebee Esky pack that came with the heli anyways). But, I did use the 1C method with the 1250's. At no time (even with the 2C mistake), did the batts get warm. They all took the balance charge well and had no issues. Definately like this charger better that the stock "greenie" one that I got with the package deal. I only hope those 1500Mah packs that I got for a ridculously (sp) low price (2 for 15 bucks plus about 15 to ship) react the same way.

I have these as well and like them quite alot. Unfortunately they didn't solve my tracking issues, which was not thier fault. They do provide quite a bit more granularity and ease adjustment. Once I fixed my sloppy head, I was able to set the tracking perfectly, adjusting them at quarter turns. I wouldn't say these are a must have item as tracking issues seem to only affect a few of use. But if you can't get the tracking nailed and have already addressed all the other causes, its nice to a fine grain control.

Which "X-treme turnbuckles" are you using?

I have always been a fan of turnbuckles and use them on rc cars. They offer a much better way to adjust things and are usually better quality too.

I got those too. Nice. One problem, though - the plastic ball links were Xtreme-ly tight on the turnbuckles. They popped off the ball during adjustment. So...

Since I had a few more to spare, I grabbed the ol' "Redneck Lightsaber" (Dremel) and commenced to reaming out the links with the third-smallest Dremel drill bit.

Took a good bit of reaming, but now the links are nice and smooth, and don't pop off the ball anymore.

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.
