hi

i've flown them all,, the trex se v1 & v2 is a nicer ship 500$ machine vrs 200$-------out of the box trex SA(i've owned) the cypher is way better,,---- out of the box titan(i've owned),cypher is way better,,,i only have 2 flights on it so it needs more time in the air to see,,,,, also, the motor is a 3800kv and is just like the eflight blade 400 one, so it has a different power band than the standard trex 450 motor size

You are running 65mg's, is there much sanding/grinding?

hi

yes..you have to file the frame and make spacers for the 2 servos on the front(i used black mirco servo arms as the spacers worked perfect) if you look at the pic of the heli showing the 2 front servos you will see that they sit back to back,,,, i only put the 65mg's in it because i had them sitting there so tried to save a little money by not buying new servos,,,, if you do not have servos and get this kit,, buy the cirus 302bb servos, they fit perfect and a recommended in the kit, they are fast, strong, ball raced, and precise for 20$ each

The Futaba 3154 digital is also a perfect fit and fast. Takes a beating too. You can find them for under 30 bucks. We started shooting autos with the cypher and some weren't "pretty" and the servos held up fine. Cypher is a winner.

Flew my today. Very impressive, I was not expecting much, but the cypher is very nice, I have a little wag, will try to play with head speed. Interested in hearing if this is an issue with others. Thumbs up

Wag went away today, might have been attributed to links being tight. I did not size the the ball links.

hi

go to finally bang the heli around today, the weather here in ma has been very wet and high winds,,i really like this heli, banged around a lot of tic tacs and some 3 point ones,, piro flips and tail down inverted funnels were not too bad,one i get used to it i'm gonna see how it handles piro funnels and a few other things,,,align carbonfiber blades are a must,,,, ALSO i moved the esc to the side of the heli to try to get the cg better ,with the esc, medusa bec and the lipo in front this heli wants to be nose heavy...

Looks like Ron Lund at Heli-Proz South has short review up at their web site. He seems to feel that its a decent offering.

My motor and esc are gettin pretty darn hot here after 1 6 min trim flight. I loosened the belt a bit and same deal -- blades are tracked and balenced. Any ideas? Sad from factory specs,

Check your gear mesh, should be able to feel a little wiggle between main and pinion. Maybe somehow it got to tight?'

Seems to be okie dokie -- even redid it with the paper trick and no visible wear on main or pinion.

Thank you,

Cypher 3d

Cyper update --- Second flight and the esc was still smoking hot -- motor was luke warm if that -- of course it was 36 degrees out :0) -- unsure what the esc deal is -- I may try an align esc the prepackaged ones never seem up to snuff

Markus

All else seems well -- slight wobble I cant seem to find at low rpm. Have to check the balence and tracking again :00

Mark, did you get your Cypher from Marty in Fulton??? I'm going back and forth between that and the Trex SA that he has, but really taking my time looking. I think I'm going to get my next from him, but just sharpening to skills trying to avoid a total disaster when I finally do upgrade from my CP Pro. Franz
