| hi yes , i knew i could find some plastic clamps that would fit , like the clamps on my predator , where they make one size and just use a liner to get them to fit , the problem i had is , i knew i could just make up a set and have them in the morning
hi Invrted1 you are all over it , i really liked the way they had the bellcrank for the tail servo , and it is the one stock idea i hated to get rid of , but my thinking has been with the larger engine , i need to shift weight towards the back and the tail servo was the obvious first choice , i still have the two flight packs to play with and still have to try the balance to see where the CG is
i was talking to Peter , an he brings up a good point , that it would be nice to look at the whole build with an eye to shave the cost , and i have to say it is a great idea , when i went after this conversion , i was looking at the amount of work and and it was pretty much uncharted water , and cost was near the bottom of my list , there are a bunch of areas that could be done differently and may shave a few pounds of cash off the top , it would be nice to have it down where it was a less expensive option to a gasser , i am still hot to finish and get it in the air , and i know with all the builds i have done before . that you are usually ready for a V2 before you even finish the first one , i think that with this build behind me it would be a good time to go through the whole thing again and try to work it out , as Peter says , with more of the stock parts , and limit all the add ons that run the cost up , cheers , dana
