Hi Dana
Sounds like your servo positioning worked out well, less moving parts has got to be better in my book.

OK my callipers have a Disney sticker on them but I will do my best for you.

hi Peter
i'm just pulling the OD out of my SDI catalog , at 24.6mm i am coming up with MOD 1.0

a 24T mod 1.0 is 26mm and a 24T mod0.8 is 20.8mm , i am thinking it should mesh with your R-90 main gear , dana

Hi Dana, looks like you might be able to use it if all else fails, if you ended up using a 23 pinion what would the extra 3 teeth do for your head speed?

hi Peter
23 teeth at 12,500 engine RPM would be around 1700 headspeed the main is 170T , dana

Hi Dana, 1700 is good enough for testing both the 20cc and your masterpiece don’t you.
Let me know if you need this one.

hi
just got a couple of photos of the servo setup , we are having an ice-storm here today , so i just have a few grainy photos from off my porch

the collective pitch range came out right at -13.5 ~ +13.5 with the ATVs left at 100 percent and the servo screen settings left at 60 percent , it is hard to see in the photos but all three control linkages are dead plumb front to back and side to side , i'll get better photos when the sun comes out here , dana

Hey dana, one question, I just checked the specs on the Zenoah and it states that the engine gives 1.7 hp at 8500 rpm and the max rpm are 10,000, how can you take out 12,500?

hi Alejandro

the G-20 is sold as a aero engine and i understand they limit the RPM recommendation to keep from having the prop go super sonic , i have also talked to folks saying they are getting much higher RPMs with the G-20 , from what i have heard it is the same piston as the G-231 but with a shorter stroke , so i am thinking thay are right , that it will like higher RPMs , if it is not happy i will find out , dana

Not trying to rush things but being anxious as hell... do you have an estimate of when you will (or hope to) have a maiden, provided you find a pinion?

Just wondering what your expectations are...

And I hope you will tape it, for your savvy audience...

We fly all year around here in Vancouver, Canada, no matter if it is over snow, slush, water or mud

I am sure this little detail won't keep you from firing this beast up
