That looks very clean, nice work, as usual!
I heard back from Revco, and they have nothing in .7 mod larger than 16 tooth. I will keep checking though...

thanks , i think a source will turn up (knock knock ), and the stock 20 tooth will let me fly and see how and if , everything else is working , i see a number of areas on a conversion like this , where something could be better , and it would be nice if it were , but if it is good enough , it might be best to just run with it for now and hope to improve on it later , and the pinion falls into this category , thanks again , dana

That is the only .7 mod pinions i can find greater than 20. Unfortunatly Robbe parts are hard to find in the english speaking world and the pinion pack is for 4 pinions.

Mikado do .7 pinions but again only up to 20t

Looking foward to seeing more pics and maybe a flight report real soon

we can never have too many, can we ?

I have been lurking since the start, I am very excited to see this one fly~!

There is a Robbe agent close by to where I am, if you let me know the part you want I can get it ordered?? I deal with him quite heavily since I fly Futura's and he is very reliable and very capable of getting parts in.


Anyway, good luck, I would imagine you shouldn't have that much of a problem pushing the G20's revs up a tad with a 20 tooth pinion, even if it is just to test

i was choking a bit , as the century fan was new to me , and different from the fans i have mounted before , the fan mounts to the back of the hub and i realized i should find out how to remove it , before i mounted it , all the fans i have had before mounted after the hub was inplace and you could remove the fan and then pull the hub with a puller , with the century fan i knew better than to grab the fan with my puller , as it was obvious it would pretzel , so i was drawing a total blank and after spending some time searching , i fell back to my old " spread the guilt , and the punishment will be less severe " , so i PMed Raja , and a few minutes later i thought to go on the Century website and saw they used to sell a puller , Raja got back to me and said you want to pull the hub not the fan and
and by now i was realizing Century wouldn't sell you a fan you couldn't remove , would they

do once i quit bitting my nails and worrying over nothing i got back on course

here are a few photos of the finished power unit , i went with the V1 muffler as it is 4 oz lighter and should let me get in the door at 9lb 12oz AUW , everything is either using red RTV high temp silicon or medium loctite

yes , that is the Box it came in , it is a sport model , and the box does say PRO , but i am thinking the real PRO box must be different , as the box i have has the list of features on the side , and they talk about the belt drive tail , and other than that it has the sticker with the model: KX0160NOA

i liked everything about the PRO but the extra $200.00 and i was not going to use the frames , and felt better about binning the G-10 frames rather than the CF ones , my big gripe with the sport model was the plastic tail box and so when i saw the Align CNC box for the sport model , that pretty much sinched it , i am probably better off with the belt drive tail anyway

in hindsight , one real plus of the pro kit would be how easy it would be to stretch the tail and be able to run longer mains , this would be one way to compensate for the low gearing , thanks again , dana

I doubt the woodie will go away untill Dana has finished this masterpeice so you will just have to through a towel over it for now

just finished mounting the canopy , i need to pick up some 3mm nylocs for the tail boom bracket and finish installing the RX and switches , here are a few photos , sorry they are grainy , it's almost dark here , cheers , dana
