Yea, i was getting pressure built up, but not alot. I had lots of nitro comming out of the exhaust. When I inspected the check valve, it was very hard to blow air through it.

Good thing the Redline doesn't have to use a check vavle, and yet will be as strong or stronger than the YS50.

Im not into crazy 3D flying, and just do basic sport flying right now, so the OS Hyper will be just fine.

Then why don't you stick with the Hyper and save the 200 bucks for 2 cases of fuel. Maybe by the time your done burning it, you will be ready for more power. For basic sport flying, if the hyper isn't doing the trick, I would seriously look at your set up..

Put three tanks in today Rap!!!!! Very predictable to tune, but leaning slowly. I find it harder to tune when it cold out.

I got me one too!

I just received my TT53 from www.amainhobbies.com. Here's the link http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...ducts_id/20794.

I got it Tuesday and installed it yesterday. I can't wait to power it up, but I'll be out of town this weekend. I'll have to wait until next weekend. I'll post back to let you know how it goes.

I know a couple of top 3d pilots who have test flown it over the past couple of months and said it was the most powerful 50 motor out there, so I'm looking forward to "lighting this candle".

I was placing an order with A Main yesterday for some other parts, and noticed they were in as well, so I picked one up along with an MP5 and some other misc stuff. It should be here on Saturday, I'm going to try it on my 60 converted 600N to see how she does. I'm looking forward to it, I doubt it'll stay in there, since I have a 90 to put in it as well, but should be a great test bed.

Three more tanks, getting closer. This weekend its suppose to hit 50 degrees so should be able to dial it in. Is it just me cuz cold weather really makes it hard for me to tune?

Bill, I am at 2 1/2 turns and still a little rich. I have the 3dx fan so I cant go by temps, that thing blows some air. I am going to put an align metal fan on to see if that helps. My LSN still hasnt been touched, it is right on, so far.

We are suppoesed to have temps in the 60s this weekend and I will let you know how farther tuning goes. But its got some power

Definitely has the power available. With the low side it was falling on its face at half stick, now its smooth as silk on transition. I'm using the Align metal and its like a hurricane under that model at idle so I doubt you'll see much difference, but ya never know. Well keep us informed how it goes.

TT53 Break-in using MP5

Well, I've got about 10 tanks through the tt53 so far and am still leaning it out to match the MP5 pipe. I started at 3 turns on the carb needle and have been leaning it down slowly to about 2 turns out now. It runs really good--no hitches so far, though I don't think that I've got it dialed in just perfect yet. I think this pipe will take it even a little leaner.

The power is great so far, but I've still been taking it easy running only 1850 headspeed. The motor starts on the first hit from the starter when I've got all the rx settings right. Very reliable and powerful so far.

Disclaimer: I'm not a heavy 3d pilot but the engine is definitely more powerful than my OS50.

What sort of throttle curve are you guys running with the TT53, I know a lot will be using governors but I'm talking about a starting point before setting the governor.

Throttle curves are same as the hyper. 100 60 50 60 100 idle 1, 100 65 55 65 100 idle 2. Head speed is 1900 and 2000. I am going to enable the gov next time out. And bump the idle 2 speed up to 2050.

My high needle is now ar 2 turns with the Align pipe(not best choice IMHO) Low needle is 1/4 turn richer than stock.

Starting to make really good strong power.
